OSI Model

The OSI Reference Model:

       

Below image is of Open System Interconnection (OSI) . It is Hierarchical model and it have some advantage.

Now i'm going to discuss advantage of OSI Model.

Primary purpose of OSI Model is to allow different vendors network to interoperate.

Advantage:

1) It divide Network into smaller Subnet or network due to troubleshooting of network is easy and simple.

2) As i have told you It allows multiple vendor to develop their equipment with standard rule.

3) It Allows various types of network hardware and software to communicate.

These are the some of advantage of OSI layer  but not limited. We will discuss all of its advantage in 

Next part when we studied OSI layer in detail as each layer.
